Shower chair with back

Review Date: August 20, 2010
Reviewer: Clara Jackson,
I absolutely love my shower chair. It is a very sturdy chair and I like the fact that you can adjust the height of the legs. I really appreciate the fact that the seller ships APO....something that is getting to be more and more difficult for us overseas.
Chair doesn't meet published specs.

I've had the Invacare chair for about a year and for most of that time I have been quite satisfied. About two months ago I nearly fell out of the chair when near the end of my shower the front legs gave, bending forward (the feet slid forward) and inward. Fortunately I caught myself before falling. I examined the chair and noticed the front suction feet and come off the legs. I thought that was the problem and reattached the feet. Since that time, the problem has continued always occurring toward the end of my shower. Last week I finally found the culprit. The seat had a crack at the edge near where the right front leg attaches to the seat. I am a heavy man (325 pounds); the chair, however, is supposed to support up to 400 pounds. Either the chair was defective from the start and became worse with time or its weight capacity is simply not as advertised. I would not recommend this chair for anyone over 250 pounds, and even then, I would carefully watch for developing cracks.
Huge Chair - Doesn't Fit Into Apartment Size Shower

This chair is very big & cumbersome - the size of a lawn chair. Furthermore, The vendor, Wheelchairs Plus, charges a 25% restocking fee for returns if they decide to accept a return as well as the purchaser must pay the return postage. Their customer service is poor.

Great chair

This chair is exactly what I was looking for in a shower chair. It's a very thick sturdy plastic. I didn't want metal legs because of the eventual rust. It's light weight, has telescoping legs, and is exactly the right size. It fits perfectly in the walk in shower & my mom uses it daily & loves it.
Solid As A Rock!

We just bought this chair for my mother-in-law. She had a chair to use at our house, but she needed one for the condo we just bought in town. I bought this one based on the reviews and couldn't be happier. It snaps together with ease and sits as solid as a rock in the bath tub. She likes it much better than her other chair and we feel better about her safety.
